Time to ‘don your best white linen, round up your friends who love a long lunch and prepare for an evening of understated European elegance because Le Dîner en Blanc is arriving in the City as the headline Signature event of Newcastle Food Month.
Le Dîner en Blanc, is a Parisian-style pop-up dinner best known for its famous all-white dress code and surprise location. The event graces cities such as Paris, New York, London and Buenos Aires plus our very own Sydney and Melbourne.
After months of planning and anticipation, we’ve found the perfect secret location—but according to the Le Dîner en Blanc tradition, it won’t be revealed until the very last minute. We can’t wait to take you there, this secret will be hard to keep!
But how do I get there, we hear you collectively say? There will be dedicated meeting points across the city: it’s there all will be revealed.
To uphold Le Dîner en Blanc’s long running tradition guests must; dress stylishly, head-to-toe in white and are requested to bring their own portable tables, white chairs, white table linen and tableware. In effect a very well organised pop-up “chic-picnic” dinner.
A gourmet meal can be brought along by guests or purchased from a selection online tailored by one of Newcastle’s leading caterers. A range of premium Hunter Valley wines will also be available for purchase online before the event (Le Dîner en Blanc is non-BYO).
To receive a first round invitation to the dinner, guests must be invited via the hosts’ network or a participating partner’s network. If that’s not you, don’t fear, the second round of invitations can be received by registering on the waiting list via the official website at https://register.dinerenblanc.com/newcastle/en/register
We can not wait to see you at the chicest dinner Newcastle has ever hosted. It will not disappoint.
