Newcastle Food Month are thrilled to welcome Jess Farchione, from Hit 106.9 back to the team, as Ambassador for this year’s Newcastle Food Month!

“I like to joke that the dodgy back tattoo I got when I was in my early-twenties doesn’t translate correctly to that Buddhist enlightenment mantra I asked for but in fact says something about spaghetti carbonara and garlic bread – such is my love of a good meal!

Growing up with parents of a European background, nothing brought the family together like food. From an early age, I learnt that food was a love language, and quickly adopted it as my own. Nothing sets my soul alight quite like a fabulous meal so I am incredibly honoured to be returning to Newcastle Food Month as ambassador for 2024.

In the past six years I have seen Newcastle’s offerings in restaurants, cafès, take-away joints, hotels, pubs and bars reach new heights, with brilliantly creative and passionate people at the helm who are dedicated to providing a one-of-a-kind experience at their establishments.

Newcastle Food Month is the perfect time to support an old faithful with a sumptuous special, discover a new favourite or get your best mates together to enjoy one of the many stand-out events across the city.

I cannot wait to see you out and about and please don’t hesitate to ask me for any recommendations! I have a lot to say on the topic. ”

Buon appetito,
Jess – HIT106.9
