On 1 April at 5pm, Newcastle’s foreshore transforms into a high-octane hospitality playground for the Hunter Culinary Association × First Creek Waiters’ Race. Presented by First Creek Wines, in partnership with the Hunter Culinary Association and in collaboration with Signal Box, this is where Newcastle’s hospitality heroes strut their stuff, and show the city why they keep it moving.
Inspired by the legendary 105-year-old Paris Waiters’ Race, trays stacked with First Creek wines, Foghorn Beer, and Signal Box morsels will be deftly carried across obstacles, weaving through crowds, corners, and chaos—all without spilling a drop. Precision, speed, and camaraderie collide in a spectacle that’s as much about skill as it is about city pride.
