Back by popular demand—and bigger, bolder, and even more delicious for 2026. After another sell-out and an afternoon people are still talking about, Perfect Match returns to do what it does best: great food, great wine, and a very good time. Ravella and Alfie’s are thrilled to celebrate another year together the only way we know how: with incredible food, exceptional wine and a room full of people who love both.

For Newcastle Food Month 2026, Ravella and Alfie’s once again unite in holy hospitality matrimony (venue + caterer), but this year we’re turning things into an all-out Battle of the Wine Regions. This year’s Perfect Match is all about seeing how different places, styles and personalities show up in the glass. From rich and generous to fresh and elegant, each winemaker will bring their own take on what makes a wine the perfect partner to food.

We’re welcoming three brilliant winemakers and dear friends:

Harrison Medley of Gunpowder Wines (Hunter Valley)
Michael Archer of Dawning Day Wines (Southern Highlands)
Richard de Beaurepaire of De Beaurepaire Wines (Rylstone)

Each will champion their region, their climate and their wines – and pour their very best to prove their case.
