Back by popular demand—and bigger, bolder, and even more delicious for 2026. After another sell-out and an afternoon people are still talking about, Perfect Match returns to do what it does best: great food, great wine, and a very good time. Ravella and Alfie’s are thrilled to celebrate another year together the only way we know how: with incredible food, exceptional wine and a room full of people who love both.
For Newcastle Food Month 2026, Ravella and Alfie’s once again unite in holy hospitality matrimony (venue + caterer), but this year we’re turning things into an all-out Battle of the Wine Regions. This year’s Perfect Match is all about seeing how different places, styles and personalities show up in the glass. From rich and generous to fresh and elegant, each winemaker will bring their own take on what makes a wine the perfect partner to food.

As part of Newcastle Food Month, Oh My Papa teams up with Briar Ridge Vineyard (Hunter Valley) to present Thai-Chino-Latino Nights — a flavour-driven dining experience celebrating culture, spice, and wine.
This exclusive five-course degustation blends Thai freshness, Chinese technique, and Latin soul. Enjoy vibrant starters like cured kingfish with nam jim and chilli oil, chorizo shumai, and salted pepper squid, followed by interactive mains where guests build their own tacos with grilled chicken, cumin beef stew, pickled onion, and corn slaw.
